She  graduated from Aegean Universty Faculty of dentistry in 1978. She
has been practicing dentistry since 1981.She specialized  on bleaching.

She enjoys sports,trekking,traveling,reading,painting,handcrafts.She is a member of the lions club in Turkey and  she also enjoy engaging in activities with her family.She has a happy marriage with Mehmet Sönmez for 25 years.
